I mentioned we briefly discussed the initiative to bring in Apache Gora [0] as an object-to-datastore abstraction for storing and querying log's produced by Log4j.
This issue should track that initiative and provide all functionality relating to the abstraction of persisting logs through Gora.

It doesn't look like I can assign this to someone outside the project. I could claim it for you, though. Either way, I'm pretty sure nobody else will work on this in the meantime since we're trying to finish up blockers and such to get 2.0 out the door.

We recently released Gora 0.4 which has some major improvements for serde using Apache Avro. It's OK that you cannot assign this one to me right now. I am working on implementing storage abstraction for Apache OODT right now. I will tackle this issue once I've finished up work on OODT.
